The Los Angeles Rams' depth on the right side of the offensive line took a hit. Third-round rookie Keagan Trost is expected to miss a few weeks after straining his hamstring in Saturday's preseason game, and he had been the club's top backup option at right tackle.
Nate Atkins (@NateAtkins_): Rams 3rd-round rookie Keagan Trost will likely miss a few weeks with the hamstring he hurt in Saturday’s preseason game. Trost was the top backup option at RT.
Trost's absence comes at a position where the Rams can least afford a thin rotation. Star edge rusher Myles Garrett (knee) and receiver Puka Nacua (psoas) were already sitting out as of Tuesday, so the camp injury list is stacking up at exactly the wrong spots — edge and the perimeter of the line.
The rookie's timetable is not a full-season concern; beat writers noted the club still has more than three weeks before Week 1, and hamstrings can resolve inside that window. But the missed reps are real for a young player trying to lock a swing-tackle role in his first pro camp.
