The Raiders are paying up to keep their tight end room together. Las Vegas has agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with Michael Mayer worth $45 million with $30 million guaranteed, per Ian Rapoport.

Mayer's $15 million average per year ranks fourth among current tight end contracts, a significant raise that reflects his importance to the offense. Jeremy Fowler called it the largest three-year extension for a tight end, and noted Mayer will be a big part of the plans early with Brock Bowers out after his meniscus trim.

The extension pairs a healthy Mayer with Bowers to give the Raiders one of the most talented tight end duos in football once Bowers returns. With Bowers sidelined for the early stretch, Mayer becomes the primary target over the middle, and locking him up now secures the position long-term rather than risking him on the open market.
