The Patriots have lost their top receiver on opening night at least for the moment. A.J. Brown went down with an apparent ankle injury, spent time in the medical tent, and has since headed to the locker room — with New England officially listing him as questionable to return.
Per sideline reporter Melissa Stark, Brown is in the locker room getting X-rays for an ankle injury and is questionable to return.
The situation is still developing, with information on whether Brown returns tonight, the severity of the ankle, and what testing shows still to come. More info is coming as the Patriots report back.
