Breece Hall and Kenyon Sadiq tracking toward Week 1 as Jets injuries trend the right way

Aaron Glenn said the Jets expect Breece Hall, Kenyon Sadiq and three other injured players ready for the opener, and Monday's practice offered encouraging signs.

The Jets came out of Monday's practice with their injury picture pointed firmly toward Week 1. Head coach Aaron Glenn delivered a largely optimistic medical update, and the most important names on it were running back Breece Hall and rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq.

Hall has missed about a week with a groin injury, but Glenn said he is on track to face the Titans on September 13, and video from Monday showed the running back moving well through rehab work on a side field.

Sadiq, the first-round pick who has been out since a procedure to address a hernia, got close enough to full work that he was on the field with the offense and helmet on. Glenn also expects corner DeAngelo Ponds (calf) and running back Isaiah Davis (knee) available for the Tennessee game. Elsewhere in the update, corners Nahshon Wright and Qwan'tez Stiggers plus linebacker Kiko Mauigoa returned on a limited basis, while edge defenders Joseph Ossai and Kingsley Enagbare and defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat climbed to full participation.
