While Dart was in the tent, Jameis Winston entered the game and converted a long third down with a short pass to running back Devin Singletary that turned into a 40-yard gain, giving Dart enough time to return. On his first play back, Dart scrambled long enough to find rookie wide receiver Malachi Fields in the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown.
The sequence underscored how much the Giants need to keep Dart in the lineup this season as the second-year quarterback builds on his rookie year.
