Jaguars starting left tackle Anton Harrison — Trevor Lawrence's blindside protector since he was drafted in 2023 — is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery upon the team's return from London. The procedure will determine whether the 4-1 Jaguars lose their starting LT for weeks or the rest of the season.
Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): #Jaguars starting LT Anton Harrison, starter since 2023, is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery when he returns from London, per me and @JFowlerESPN. During the surgery, the doctor will determine how long Trevor Lawrence's blindside protector is out — weeks or months.
Per Ian Rapoport, the doctor evaluating Harrison during the arthroscopic surgery will determine the full timeline. If the damage is limited, Harrison could miss 3-5 weeks and is likely headed to injured reserve with a shorter-term IR designation. A more severe finding would push the recovery to 3-4 months, effectively ending his regular season.
Harrison has started every game at left tackle since Jacksonville selected him in the first round of the 2023 draft out of Oklahoma. His absence would leave a significant hole in the Jaguars' offensive line as the team sits at 4-1 and pushes toward the postseason. Jacksonville was in London for its Week 5 upset win over the Eagles; Harrison will be evaluated once the team returns stateside for the surgery that will set his recovery course.
