The New York Giants' injury nightmare continues. All-Pro outside linebacker Brian Burns is believed to have suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's win over the Tennessee Titans and will miss the rest of the 2026 season.
Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): #Giants star pass-rusher Brian Burns is believed to have suffered a torn ACL, sources tell me and @AdamSchefter. Burns, who played Sunday through ankle pain, now has a major knee injury. A significant loss.
Burns played through ankle pain on Sunday before the knee injury surfaced, and the diagnosis is a significant loss for a Giants defense that has been hit hard. The news lands just days after the team lost quarterback Jaxson Dart for the season to a knee injury, leaving New York to navigate a brutal stretch without two of its most important players.
Burns is one of the league's premier edge rushers and the anchor of the Giants' pass rush. His absence strips the defense of its most disruptive force and forces the coaching staff to reshuffle the front seven as the season continues.
