The Giants are working through their quarterback situation after Jaxson Dart's season-ending knee surgery, with Jameis Winston now the starter. Haener stepping in as the backup gives New York a familiar option for this week, but the club is clearly keeping its options open as it weighs adding a more experienced arm behind Winston.
