Falcons sign tight end Nick Muse after Lions release
Atlanta added veteran tight end Nick Muse, per Ian Rapoport.
The Atlanta Falcons have added depth at tight end, signing free agent Nick Muse, who had just been with the Detroit Lions, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Muse spent last season bouncing among the New York Jets, Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals, giving him a range of system experience that Atlanta's coaching staff can draw on.
Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): "The #Falcons have signed FA TE Nick Muse, who had just been with the #Lions. He spent last season with the #Jets, #Rams, and #AZCardinals."
Tight end is a position where Atlanta continues to evaluate options behind its top contributors. Muse's signing is the kind of low-risk addition teams make during training camp to create competition and cover for injuries.
The Falcons have been active in reshaping their roster around a young core, and adding a veteran tight end with positional flexibility fits the broader roster-building approach.
