Eagles DC Vic Fangio: 'Miraculous' if Jalyx Hunt plays vs. Panthers
The Eagles' breakout edge rusher is unlikely to be available Sunday as he works through the lower-leg injury suffered against Jacksonville

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said it would be "miraculous" for standout edge rusher Jalyx Hunt to play Sunday against the Panthers, per Eagles beat reporter Zach Berman.
Zach Berman (@ZBerm): Vic Fangio said it would be “miraculous” for Jalyx Hunt to play Sunday. The Eagles planned to rotate J. Campbell and J. Trotter in this game. That plan will continue. He disputed report that Trotter was going to start.
Hunt exited Sunday's game against Jacksonville with a lower-leg injury that had him taken to the locker room, and this week's practice status will determine whether the Eagles get him back at all for the Week 6 matchup. The emerging edge rusher has been a standout presence off the edge, making his potential absence a real test for Philadelphia's pass rush rotation.
Fangio also clarified the plan at linebacker, saying the Eagles had intended to rotate Jihaad Campbell and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. before Sunday's ejection changed the calculus, and that the rotation will continue. That defensive depth will be tested again if Hunt cannot go as Philadelphia prepares for Carolina.
