Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Trade: Dolphins traded WR Tutu Atwell back to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for RB Jarquez Hunter, sources tell ESPN.
Atwell, a 2021 second-round pick of the Rams, spent the first five seasons of his NFL career in Los Angeles under head coach Sean McVay before landing in Miami. He caught 105 passes for 1,535 yards and five touchdowns during that first stint and now rejoins a receiver room that already features Davante Adams, Puka Nacua, Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield and sixth-round pick C.J. Daniels behind Matthew Stafford.
For the Dolphins, the return is Jarquez Hunter, a 2025 fourth-round pick who appeared in five games on special teams as a rookie. With Miami still shaping its backfield behind its lead runners, Hunter adds depth at a position the club has cycled through this summer.
The move comes as both teams finalize their 53-man rosters ahead of Sunday's league-wide cutdown, and it gives Atwell a familiar landing spot after a short stay in Miami.
