The group spans every phase: quarterback Brady Cook comes from the Jets, tight end Justin Joly from the Broncos, offensive tackles Chukwuebuka Godrick and Jarrett Kingston from the Chiefs and Texans, and defensive backs Marcellas Dial, Reese Taylor and Julius Wood from the Patriots, Broncos and Cowboys. Because the Dolphins claimed seven players, they must also cut seven current roster players to stay at the 53-man limit.
The Dolphins are using their waiver priority to change what many consider to be as one of the worst rosters in the league. Cook comes in slotted as the third quarterback behind Malik Willis and just traded for Kyle McCord, giving them one of the youngest QB rooms in the league.
