Cowboys officially sign veteran pass rusher Von Miller
Dallas has made the addition of the future Hall of Fame edge rusher official, giving coordinator Christian Parker's defense proven pass-rush depth for the 2026 season.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): New Cowboys LB Von Miller officially has signed.
The Dallas Cowboys have officially signed linebacker Von Miller, Adam Schefter confirmed Tuesday. The deal is a one-year pact worth a base $5.5 million and maxing out at $7.5 million through incentives, per Ian Rapoport.
Miller, a DeSoto, Texas native and Texas A&M product, is coming home to the franchise he grew up watching. The 37-year-old two-time Super Bowl champion and eight-time Pro Bowler led the Washington Commanders with 9.0 sacks last season after a midyear trade. He enters 2026 as the NFL's active career sacks leader with 138.5.
After an Achilles injury limited him to three games in 2025, Miller's arrival gives Dallas critical pass-rushing depth behind its young edge group. Defensive coordinator Christian Parker gets a proven veteran who can still affect the pocket, and the Cowboys get a low-risk, high-upside swing on a potentially Hall of Fame resume just in time for the season.
