The Washington Commanders will be without their top wide receiver for Sunday's international game. Terry McLaurin is officially inactive for the matchup against the Indianapolis Colts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, after he suffered a hamstring injury late this week in practice.
Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): #Commanders star WR Terry McLaurin is officially out for today's game in London against the #Colts. He suffered a hamstring injury late this week in practice.
McLaurin had been listed as questionable on the team's final injury report, leaving his status for the London trip in doubt into the weekend. The hamstring issue surfaced late in the week, and the Commanders ultimately decided not to risk their No. 1 receiver on the long trip.
His absence is a significant blow to a Washington passing game that has already been navigating quarterback uncertainty. Jayden Daniels was ruled out for this game with an elbow issue, with Marcus Mariota starting in his place, so the Commanders will be without both their starting quarterback and their top target in London.
With McLaurin out, Washington's receiving corps leans on its depth pieces to carry the load against a Colts defense that has been opportunistic early in the season. The Commanders will hope the hamstring issue is short-lived as they return stateside after the international trip.
