The Eagles have ruled Lane Johnson out for Sunday's game against the Rams, making the veteran right tackle inactive after he was added to the injury report for personal reasons.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Eagles OT Lane Johnson is inactive today. Eagles are 18-29 without Johnson.
Philadelphia will turn to third-round rookie Markel Bell at right tackle, with backup Fred Johnson also out for the game. Bell, Philadelphia's third-round pick in this year's draft, is set for his first NFL start in place of Johnson.
The inactive comes as the Eagles are already short key playmakers: wide receiver DeVonta Smith and linebacker Zack Baun were ruled out earlier, and tight end Dallas Goedert is out again after missing multiple games.
Schefter noted the Eagles are 18-29 all-time without Johnson, underscoring how much of the offensive line's stability rests on the veteran tackle. With Johnson and Fred Johnson both unavailable, Philadelphia's reshuffled front will face a Rams pass rush in a matchup between two teams coming off Week 3 losses.
