The Chiefs are trading for Ravens offensive tackle Diego Pounds, Mike Garafolo reported Saturday evening — an undrafted rookie from Ole Miss who was one of PFF's highest-graded players at the position this preseason.
Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo): The #Ravens are trading OT Diego Pounds to the #Chiefs, sources tell me and @RapSheet. The undrafted free agent from Ole Miss, who weighs 330, was … pound-for-pound … one of @PFF's highest-graded rookies this preseason.
The compensation is a little unusual: Adam Schefter reported the return is contingent on the picks Kansas City has available at the end of the season, and could resolve as either a Day 3 pick in 2027 or one in 2028.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Compensation in this Ravens-Chiefs trade is contingent on the picks that KC has available at the end of the season; it could result in either a day 3 2027 pick, or a day 3 2028 pick.
Kansas City continues to stockpile young tackle depth around Patrick Mahomes, and Pounds gives the Chiefs a developmental blocker who played his way onto the radar with a standout preseason despite going undrafted out of Ole Miss.
For Baltimore, the move shakes out a crowded offensive-line room ahead of Sunday's 53-man cutdown, converting a bubble player into conditional late-round capital rather than losing him for nothing.
