The Cardinals' injury picture improved on the edge Thursday. Outside linebacker Josh Sweat was upgraded to a limited participant, while rookie running back Jeremiyah Love remained limited, per the team's injury report.
Darren Urban (@Cardschatter): #AZCardinals injury report: OLB Josh Sweat upgraded to limited; S Rabbit Taylor-Demerson downgraded to DNP. No other changes. RB Jeremiyah Love still limited.
Sweat had been listed as a non-participant with rest and his knee earlier in the week, so the upgrade is a positive sign for his availability in Sunday's opener. Safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson was downgraded to a non-participant.
Love, meanwhile, is dealing with the ankle issue that has lingered through the week. He made clear his status is not his call, saying if the Cardinals want him to play in the opener, he will go, and if not, he won't.
"I just want to play football," Love said, per Darren Urban.
