Bears sign veteran receiver Ray-Ray McCloud
Chicago added wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, per Jeremy Fowler.
The Chicago Bears have added a veteran pass-catcher and return man. The club signed wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, who listed the move among the day's league transactions.
Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN): "League transactions: *Dolphins trade a 2029 seventh-round pick to New England for OT Caedan Wallace and a 2028 sixth-round pick. *Bears sign veteran receiver Ray-Ray McCloud *Lions make Josh Dobbs signing official."
McCloud has carved out a role in the NFL as a depth receiver and special-teams contributor, and his arrival gives Chicago another option on the perimeter and in the return game.
The Bears have been methodical about building out their receiver room around a young quarterback, and a signing like McCloud adds experienced competition without committing significant capital.
