Mark Kaboly (@MarkKaboly): Steelers have released Rayshawn Jenkins. Hmmm. DeShon Elliott time?
For Jenkins, this ends his current stint with the Steelers. For Pittsburgh, it opens a spot and sharpens the focus on the health of the other safeties. The two questions should remain separate until the team confirms any additional move or a returning player's status. Wednesday's established transaction is Jenkins' release, not a formal activation of Elliott.
