Steelers place Sebastian Joseph-Day on injured reserve
Pittsburgh placed defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day on injured reserve, changing its available defensive-line rotation
The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day on injured reserve, removing him from the available rotation.
Alex Kozora pointed to Kevin Jobity Jr. and practice-squad lineman Esezi Otomewo as possible ways to bolster the rotation, rather than reporting either as a confirmed replacement. That distinction matters as the Steelers decide how to cover Joseph-Day's work: an opening in the rotation is confirmed, but a corresponding promotion or game-day role has not been announced.
Bummer for Joseph-Day. But team has a chance to bolster rotational pass rush that's been absent. Either through Kevin Jobity Jr. (inactive all season) or Esezi Otomewo on the PS. #SteelersView on X →

For now the confirmed roster move is Joseph-Day's placement on injured reserve. Whether Pittsburgh makes a separate addition to the active defensive line is a decision to watch.
