Seahawks list Zach Charbonnet as full participant ahead of activation deadline

Zach Charbonnet took a full practice for the first time since returning from his torn ACL, with Seattle facing a Thursday decision on his roster status

The Seattle Seahawks listed running back Zach Charbonnet as a full participant Wednesday for the first time since his return to practice from a torn ACL, according to Brady Henderson. Ian Rapoport pointed to the participation upgrade as a sign that Charbonnet is nearing a return.

Charbonnet resumed practicing October 1 and had been limited on every injury report since then, Henderson reported. The change to full participation comes as Seattle approaches the end of his return-to-practice window. A full practice is progress, not an announcement that he has been activated or will play this week.

Seattle must decide by Thursday whether to move Charbonnet from the physically unable to perform list to its 53-man roster. Henderson noted that activation would not require the Seahawks to use him in Sunday's game. The roster deadline and the game-day decision are separate steps, which makes Wednesday's practice designation especially relevant without settling his availability.

Mike Macdonald said Monday there was a possibility Charbonnet could make his 2026 debut Sunday night, Henderson reported. That possibility remains contingent on the decisions Seattle makes after this week's practices. For now, the confirmed development is the change from repeated limited work to a full listing as the team reaches its activation deadline.
