The NFL has been investigating #Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro following comments made by former NFL LB Emmanuel Acho on his podcast, per @GunnOnOne. Acho said in July that while playing in the NFL, he rear-ended another car and contacted team security. He says a security official told him to send away the responding officer because another officer would come and determine the crash wasn't his fault. Acho says a second officer arrived and blamed the other driver. After the driver learned Acho was an NFL player and claimed injuries, he says team security offered her tickets and signed jerseys and the issue went away. Acho said in July that while he was playing in the NFL, he rear-ended another car and contacted team security. He described a security official telling him to send away the responding officer because another officer would come and determine the crash wasn't his fault — and says that after the other driver learned Acho was an NFL player and claimed injuries, team security offered her tickets and signed jerseys and the issue went away. Acho, who played for the Eagles, Browns and Giants, never identified which team he was referring to.
DiSandro is a prominent figure around the Eagles, best known for being ejected from a 2023 game against the 49ers after a sideline altercation. The league's review of the Acho allegations marks the latest institutional matter involving the veteran security chief.
