Jets owner Woody Johnson takes stake in Aston Martin Aramco, joins board

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has acquired a strategic stake in Aston Martin Aramco and will join the team's board as Vice Chairman, per the team's announcement

The worlds of the NFL and Formula 1 are intersecting again through one of the league's most prominent owners. New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has acquired a strategic stake in Aston Martin Aramco and will join the automaker's board as Vice Chairman, according to the team's announcement.

Johnson, who also served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom during the first Trump administration, has owned the Jets since 2000. His business portfolio now extends into one of F1's marquee brands.

The move is the latest example of crossover between American football ownership and global motorsport. Johnson's Jets tenure has been defined by ups and downs on the field, but his off-field business footprint continues to expand.
