Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo): The #Giants are signing QB Jake Haener to their 53-man roster off their practice squad, sources say. He joins J.J. McCarthy on the active roster behind Jameis Winston.
Haener joins J.J. McCarthy on the active roster behind starter Jameis Winston, giving the Giants a third quarterback as they manage the position group. He had been on New York's practice squad after joining the team.
The promotion adds depth at a spot the Giants have been careful to stock, with Winston firmly established as the starter and McCarthy developing behind him.
