Defensive lineman Boogie Basham heads the list of arrivals. The former second-round pick worked out for Washington on Monday and spent last season on the Raiders' practice squad.
The remainder of the moves targets the secondary and the edge group. Per The Athletic's Nicki Jhabvala, the Commanders also signed safeties Joshuah Bledsoe and Quindell Johnson, released safety Malik Spencer alongside Harris, and placed outside linebacker Drake Jackson on injured reserve.

Harris' release stands out given he opened camp in the mix at safety, but with Bledsoe and Johnson brought in the same morning, Washington clearly wanted more experienced bodies in the room heading into cutdown week.
