The Indianapolis Colts are taking no chances at losing their punter. The team has signed veteran punter Rigoberto Sanchez to a two-year contract extension that pushes him into the upper tier of NFL punter pay.
Sanchez, 31, has been Indianapolis' punter since the club signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Hawaii in 2017, and the new money makes him a top-five paid punter at age 32, per reporting from the team's beat and national insiders.

The extension is a rare bit of stability at a spot where turnover is common. Sanchez has handled both punting and holding duties in Indianapolis, and keeping him in place removes a variable for a Colts team sorting out the rest of its specialist depth chart heading into Week 1.
