Wednesday's absence marks the second ankle injury of the season for Love, Arizona's first-round pick and the featured runner in the Cardinals' offense. The team is taking a cautious approach after the latest flare-up, holding him out of practice rather than pushing him through the week.
Arizona will gauge how the week goes before making a call on Love's availability for the Rams, with the message from the organization that rest is the priority — "The rest for him will be vital." His status will be a key storyline when the first official Week 6 injury report lands Thursday.
