Bishop recorded two interceptions and three pass deflections during the preseason, but he is being waived with an injury designation — a detail that complicates his path to the 53 and could put him on injured reserve or the waiver wire depending on how the designation resolves. For a Bears secondary that has churned depth, losing a playmaker who showed well in August is a notable cutdown-day subtraction, even if the injury status drove the decision.
