Jordan Fowler (@JFowlerESPN): The Bears explored trade possibilities for OT Kiran Amegadjie, who ultimately was waived. The former third-round pick is a waiver option for teams that need tackle depth.
Amegadjie, a former third-round pick, becomes a waiver option for teams seeking tackle depth after Chicago opted to move on rather than find a trade partner. The Bears' willingness to shop him signals they had already decided he was outside their plans, and the lack of a market left waivers as the exit. For a tackle-needy team, his availability is a name to watch on the wire — a recent Day 2 pick hitting free agency in August.
