Texans acquire OT Nathan Thomas from Cowboys
Houston is adding offensive line depth, acquiring tackle Nathan Thomas from Dallas. The former Cowboys blocker stays in-state as the Texans bolster their front.
The Houston Texans are acquiring offensive tackle Nathan Thomas from the Dallas Cowboys, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, adding depth to their front as cutdown weekend winds down.
Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): The #Texans are trading for #Cowboys OT Nathan Thomas, adding some depth on their offensive line. He stays in-state.
Thomas stays in-state, moving from Dallas to Houston, and gives the Texans another body along the offensive line as they finalize the roster. For the Cowboys, moving a tackle they'd been carrying signals confidence in their own depth chart; for Houston, it is a low-cost reinforcement at a position where depth is always at a premium. The Texans have been active along the line all weekend, and Thomas represents another option to insulate the quarterback room.
