Shedeur Sanders throws TD, then a pick as Browns QB decision looms
Shedeur Sanders opened Saturday's preseason game against the Bills with a flawless touchdown drive before a tipped interception, and Cleveland's quarterback decision could come Monday.
Shedeur Sanders made the most of his first-half stint in Saturday's preseason game against the Bills in Cleveland — and gave the Browns' quarterback competition one more data point. After lightning pushed back the start of the game by more than an hour, Sanders opened with a perfect drive: 4-for-4 passing, including a fourth-down conversion and a third-down touchdown strike.

The strong start came with a reminder of how quickly drives can turn. On a later possession, Sanders threw slightly behind his target, the pass was tipped and picked off by Bills safety Damar Hamlin.

What Cleveland does with the performance may be resolved quickly. Browns head coach Todd Monken will huddle with his staff Sunday to assess the body of work from Sanders and Deshaun Watson, and a decision on the quarterback pecking order could come Monday.
