Ravens sign QB Austin Reed after workout with three other passers
Baltimore added quarterback Austin Reed after a group workout, per Mike Garafolo.
The Baltimore Ravens worked out four quarterbacks and came away with a familiar name. The club signed Austin Reed, a former 2024 undrafted free agent, after a session that also included Trevor Siemian, Jake Haener and Clayton Tune, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo): "The #Ravens worked out four QBs today: Trevor Siemian Jake Haener Clayton Tune Austin Reed. Reed was signed. The former 2024 undrafted free agent lands in Baltimore."
Baltimore's quarterback room is anchored by Lamar Jackson, but depth behind him is perpetually a point of attention. Reed, who spent time in the preseason circuit, lands in Baltimore as a developmental option.
The Ravens have a track record of churning the back end of the roster at the quarterback position, and Reed's signing adds another arm to compete for a practice-squad or reserve role as the preseason schedule unfolds.
