Ravens sign veteran OT David Sharpe for offensive line depth
Baltimore added a familiar face Tuesday, signing David Sharpe after a workout; the club waived-injured defensive back Jacquez Robinson to make room.
The Baltimore Ravens reinforced their offensive line Tuesday.
Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec): To create a roster spot for OT David Sharpe, the Ravens waived-injured DB Jacquez Robinson.
Baltimore signed veteran offensive tackle David Sharpe, a 30-year-old with 46 career games and six starts, after a workout, per Jeff Zrebiec. The move addresses depth up front following the offseason retirement of Kendall Lamm. Sharpe previously spent time on the Ravens' practice squad in 2021 and 2022, so the fit is a familiar one.
To create a roster spot, Baltimore waived-injured defensive back Jacquez Robinson, who had missed roughly a week of practice and the team's preseason win with an injury, according to Jonas Shaffer and Zrebiec. Robinson's departure is the corresponding transaction to Sharpe's arrival.
The Ravens are stockpiling tackle depth as they finalize the roster, and Sharpe's experience makes him a plausible candidate to stick as a swing option.
