The Rams will play the Cardinals on Sunday without their top cornerback, with All-Pro Trent McDuffie inactive for the Week 6 matchup.
Nate Atkins (@NateAtkins_): Rams All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie is OUT for today's game against the Cardinals.
McDuffie was listed as questionable after missing Friday's practice with a groin issue. He has seven passes defensed and an interception this season in his first year with Los Angeles, giving the Rams' defense a true shutdown option on the outside. Cornerback Cam Lampkin is expected to help fill the void, and rookie tackle Keagan Trost is active for the first time.
The Rams also have safety Kam Curl active after he was listed as questionable with an ankle injury. On the Arizona side, safety Budda Baker (groin) is active, while running back Jeremiyah Love was previously ruled out with an ankle injury.
Without McDuffie, the Rams' secondary faces a stiff test against the Cardinals' passing attack, which has tested secondaries through six weeks of the season. His availability will be worth watching into the coming week, as Los Angeles tries to keep pace in a crowded NFC West.
