The Rams still believe Puka Nacua's groin issue is a short-term one, with coach Sean McVay making clear the team does not consider the receiver's injury a long-term concern even as it stays cautious about his availability for Sunday against the Broncos.

Nacua missed Week 2 with the groin injury and his status for this week remains unclear. McVay said the receiver would have missed Wednesday's practice, when the team held only a jog-through, and that the staff will see what he can do Thursday. He described Nacua as "frustrated," but reiterated the belief that this is not a long-term issue and that the team will exercise caution so it does not become one.

McVay, explained the delicacy of a groin problem for a skill player. "You err on the side of caution," he said. "Usually, time is the best thing that allows that thing to heal." Nacua's outlook follows earlier pushback that he could be out another week after sitting out practice Wednesday; the coach's reassurance suggests the timetable may be shorter than feared. If Nacua is not ready by Sunday, Davante Adams remains the Rams' top receiving option.
