The Jets will be shorthanded on offense Sunday against the Bears, ruling out lead running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell for the Week 4 matchup.
Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): The #Jets have ruled out RB Breece Hall, WR Adonai Mitchell, G Dylan Parham and LB Kiko Mauigoa.
Hall is out with a quad injury, while Mitchell is sidelined with a finger issue, per Ari Meirov. The Jets also ruled out tight end Mason Taylor (thumb) and guard Dylan Parham (knee), leaving the offense without several key pieces as it looks to bounce back.
The backfield now falls to the committee behind Hall, with the Jets needing their remaining backs to carry the load against a Chicago defense that has been stout against the run. Mitchell's absence thins a receiver room that has leaned on its top targets, and the offensive line takes another hit with Parham out.
New York's Week 4 matchup carries real stakes after a 1-2 start, and the injury list only raises the degree of difficulty. The Jets will need their depth to step up if they are to keep pace in a crowded AFC picture.
