Jaguars activate OL Cole Van Lanen off PUP list after clearing physical
Jacksonville is getting healthier up front, with veteran offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen coming off the PUP list after a Week 18 knee injury.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting healthier along the offensive line. Veteran lineman Cole Van Lanen has been activated off the physically unable to perform list after passing his physical, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.
Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): Sources: The #Jaguars are getting healthy on the offensive line, as Cole Van Lanen is coming off the PUP list today, having passed his physical. He injured his knee in Week 18, and now he is set to return to the field.
Van Lanen, 28, suffered a knee injury in Week 18 of the 2025 season but is now cleared to return to the field. The 2021 sixth-round pick appeared in 16 games with 10 starts for Jacksonville last year and has 51 career games (13 starts) since entering the league. His return adds a dependable swing piece to a line that has been reshuffled this week — the Jaguars also traded for offensive lineman Daniel Faalele from the Giants earlier in the week.
Getting Van Lanen back gives Jacksonville more depth and flexibility up front as it sorts out the protection plan for the regular season. The Jaguars host Carolina in a preseason matchup on Friday night, where the restored lineman could see his first live action of camp.
