The Indianapolis Colts trimmed and added to their roster in a late-camp flurry Tuesday.
Per Colts beat writer Mike Chappell, the team signed offensive tackles Roy Mbaeteka and Trey Wedig along with tight end Tyler Moore. Mbaeteka was designated as an exempt/international player, a route teams use for developmental overseas prospects.
On the other side of the ledger, Indianapolis placed tight end Carson Towt on injured reserve and waived wide receiver E.J. Horton Jr. and offensive tackle Bayron Matos. Towt landing on IR removes him from the active roster equation for the foreseeable future.
The moves are typical of the pre-cutdown churn, as the Colts evaluate depth along the offensive line and at tight end before final decisions. None of the signings are marquee additions, but they reflect the staff's continued effort to build competition at the back end of the roster.
