Chargers place C Tyler Biadasz on season-ending injured reserve

Los Angeles placed starting center Tyler Biadasz on season-ending IR, ending his first year with the team after a marquee offseason signing, and signed WR Gary Jennings in a corresponding move.

The Los Angeles Chargers' interior offensive line took a significant hit Sunday, as the club placed starting center Tyler Biadasz on season-ending injured reserve.

Per Ian Rapoport, Biadasz "exhausted all options," meaning the injury is severe enough that the team cannot designate him for return later in the year — his 2026 campaign is over.

Biadasz was one of the Chargers' marquee offseason additions, signing a three-year, $30 million free-agent deal to anchor the center spot in front of quarterback Justin Herbert. His loss removes a presumed starter from the heart of the line just weeks before the regular season.

The timing is especially unfortunate given how much capital the franchise invested in stabilizing the position. Los Angeles will now have to reshuffle its interior, with a depth option set to take the snaps against a loaded AFC West.

In a corresponding move, the Chargers also signed veteran wide receiver Gary Jennings, Rapoport reported. Jennings adds depth to a receiver room that has dealt with its own injuries during camp.

For a team with playoff aspirations built around Herbert, the Biadasz injury is the kind of early blow that tests the offensive line's depth before a single regular-season snap has been played.
