The Bengals have officially placed wide receiver Andrei Iosivas on injured reserve, making way for him to recover from recent thumb surgery.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): Bengals have placed WR Andrei Iosivas on injured reserve, signed LB Joe Giles-Harris off their practice squad to their active roster, and elevated TE Tanner Hudson from their practice squad to their active roster.
Iosivas was expected to miss 4-6 weeks after undergoing the procedure, and the IR move confirms he'll be sidelined through that stretch at minimum. It's a loss for a Bengals receiving corps that has leaned on him this season.
To fill the roster spots, Cincinnati signed linebacker Joe Giles-Harris off the practice squad to the active roster and elevated tight end Tanner Hudson from the practice squad.
Iosivas' absence shifts more of the target share to the team's other pass catchers, with Cincinnati looking to stay competitive in a tight AFC North race while he rehabs. The corresponding additions give the team depth on both sides of the ball in his absence.
