The 5-0 49ers took a hit to their wide receiver depth Sunday when Deebo Samuel was pulled from the lineup with a hamstring injury during their win over Seattle. Monday morning will bring clarity, as Samuel is scheduled for an MRI.
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter): 49ers WR Deebo Samuel Sr. is out for the remainder of the game due to a hamstring injury.
Samuel was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game after walking off the field slowly following a non-contact play. Beat writer Eric Branch described the scene as "looked hamstring-ish," and teammate Mike Evans went on to star in the 49ers' win with a two-point conversion catch. The absence of Samuel could create real trade urgency for the 49ers, as Lombardi noted Sunday, given the team's broader WR health.
The 49ers are already without wideout Jacob Cowing, who also walked off during the game with what appeared to be an ankle issue. With Samuel's MRI Monday, the team will have a clearer picture of whether they need to make a move ahead of next Monday night's matchup against the Commanders.
